Mike Hicks

Meet Mike, epic bass player and now our first choice bass dep having joined the band after we lost Pete in 2020. Mike Hicks hails from the mighty City of Coventry. Legend has it he saw the ghost of Lady Godiva one drunken night and woke up with white hair. Mike spent his formative years wanting to be a member of Whitesnake, and so played in many bands with names like Heartless, Geneva, Maverick and Sunset Rose. In later years he's diversified bringing soul, folk, country, rock & roll, and blues to his repertoire, whilst also stretching his AOR muscles in Journey and Toto tribute acts.

The StaceInvader

Local drum legend and our most frequent drum dep. Stace is a one man bolt of lightning. A highly energetic and hugely entertaining drum sensation and all round good bloke. He's the engine room of local bands LMB and High Point Players. Be warned, once you've met Stace, you'll never be the same again!

His full name is Stacey, which is the boy's version of Tracey :)

RIP Pete Saunders

Sadly departed in 2020 this is Pete:

On the bass guitar we have His Royal Highness "Lord Pete Saunders". Legend of the local music scene and in the Guinness book of records as the world's tallest bass player.

Pete took up the bass when he realised he was the only man big enough to hold it properly. Pete suffers from a rare condition called "random birthday disorder" that affects time lords and former drag queens (Pete isn't a time lord).

He celebrated his 100th birthday twice this year and is single handedly responsible for almost all of the UK's full fat Coke consumption.

His extraordinary music career includes bands such as 'Stampede', 'Runaway Five', '3 Phaze' and 'Take Note'. In his spare time Pete likes to figure out how to get through his front door without banging his head.
